After school clubs
We have a range of after School clubs including Athletics , Football , Welsh language club and Hockey. At lunchtimes pupils can attend gardening , chess or running clubs. These clubs help pupils to keep active , socialise and to practise the skills they learn in lessons.
Outdoor Activities
We use the school grounds and the Locality to study the seasons and the environment. We improve our school grounds and look after the wildlife , we also grow our own produce. Each year we offer Outdoor and Adventurous activities for junior pupils , we visit the Youth Hostel at Llangollen , Penrellyncymmer Centre near Brenig and Year 6 pupils attend a 3 day course at Glanllyn , the Welsh language centre.
Cultural Activities:
Pupils in the juniors have the opportunity to play musical instruments if they have an aptitude and are ready to practise! They also visit the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and join in with Flintshire based singing, arts and drama projects. We put on a production each year at Christmas time.
Diocesan Links:
As a Church School we are part of the St Asaph Diocese family of Schools and Churches. We have very close links with the Parish Church of St Michael and All Angels in Trelawnyd where we take part in services termly to which parents are invited. We visit the Cathedral biannually and take part in a sports day every year with the other Diocesan Schools.
